Products: Futura Flexible Digital Implant

Description
The Flexible Digital Implant offers surgeons an alternative to traditional arthroplasty or arthrodesis for the correction of a hammertoe deformity. The prosthesis is constructed of UltraSIL medical grade silicone and is designed for the proximal interphalangeal joints of digits two through five. The Futura FDI features an anatomic hinge design similar to that used in digital hand implants and features stem geometry options for the small digital bone anatomy. The implant is offered in six size/stem geometry combinations and is supported by a custom instrumentation set.

Features and Benefits
The anatomic hinge buttresses improve joint function, stability and cosmesis.

Futura™ Foot and Ankle Products
Round stem options are offered in the smaller sizes to accommodate narrow bone anatomy that might otherwise preclude the use of other digital prostheses.
The functional design allows for use in the fifth digit, where many other implants are not recommended.
The opening "keyhole" hinge design evenly distributes stress and provides both strength and flexibility.
